At the opening ceremony of Bosch's new research center on October 14, 2015, Dunner answered questions from the media. For the report that Bosch will turn its axles to electric cars, Dunner said that "electric drive is an important technology, but there are still great possibilities for these internal combustion engines, such as gasoline engines and diesel engines. I believe that diesel engines are clean."

In addition, when the reporter asked "whether you are 'surprised' about the behavior of the mass-controlled (Boshi-developed) control software," Dunner avoided saying "unable to give a clear answer." The reason why reporters have asked such questions is because it was initially reported that “Bosch has always said to the public that it was illegal to change control software,” and now Bosch has changed its position and believes that “it is the masses who have changed control software”.

In addition, there are reporters asking whether the public, who has been hit hard due to violations, will ask component suppliers to reduce costs. Dunner asked him to comment on this. Dunner's answer is “I'm not sure about this issue”.
