Bridgestone makes green tires in Tianjin

Recently, the Bridgestone Tire Co., Ltd., a joint venture between Japan's Bridgestone Group and Tianjin Suihua Group, was the first company in the world's tire manufacturing industry to lay the foundation for a green tire project. The project was listed as a key support development in the city. The project will create new green tires with strong safety performance, low energy consumption, and low pollution emissions, opening a new era in the automotive tire industry.

The project has a total investment of 1.1 billion yuan and covers an area of ​​100 acres. It produces green tires "green song partners" and "ice sharp passengers" that represent the development direction of the world's tires. Green environmental protection tires are used to reduce the rolling resistance of tires and to reduce fuel consumption and exhaust emissions without sacrificing the safety performance of tires. Green tires and snow tires will be put into operation in the second half of 2013. After the projects are completed, the Bridgestone Tianjin plant is expected to produce more than 9 million sets of various tires each year, achieving sales revenue of 2.3 billion yuan.
