The first batch of oil tanker projects independently developed and designed by COSCO Shipyard passed the expert review on February 24th. In October 2008, based on the requirements of CSR for ship safety and reliability, and meeting the shipowner's ship economy requirements, the Technical Center CK Design Center has repeatedly studied and demonstrated the cost-effectiveness of many ship types. The 9 types of ships with promising market prospects are the key research and development projects. After more than three months of independent development, the first batch of Panama-type 74K refined oil/chemical tanker (deep well pump type and pump type) and Afra type 113K product tanker have completed all development and design tasks under the guidance of Korean experts. . The development and design adopts the advanced concept of Korea, strictly abides by international conventions, and satisfies the CSR common norms and BWMP ballast water treatment specifications. Compared with ships of the same type, this series of oil tankers has the advantages of increased bulk capacity and reduced fuel consumption, and new breakthroughs in line shape and structure as well as cabin layout.
