Great Wall Automotive and STMicroelectronics

A few days ago, Great Wall Motor and STMicroelectronics announced that they had reached a strategic partnership. The two parties will work together to research automotive electronics technology and solutions and apply them in various fields.

The joint laboratory is located in the Great Wall Automotive Technology Center and will focus on the research and development of powertrain, chassis, safety, body, automotive entertainment, new energy technologies, and other automotive application cutting-edge solutions.

STMicroelectronics will invest in the latest automotive electronics technology and solutions for the project, including Gasoline Direct Injection (GDI), BCM (Body Control Modules), and PowerPCTM series of 32-bit microcontrollers. Other automotive chips, highly integrated EMS (Engine Management System) chip solutions, security system chip solutions (active and passive), complete infotainment platform solutions (car audio, video, intelligent communication and navigation ) And other automotive electronics related applications, and provide corresponding reference design, development tools, technical support and training.

STMicroelectronics was established in June 1987. It is a merger of SGS Microelectronics of Italy and Thomson Semiconductor of France. It is one of the world's largest semiconductor companies.
