Our ships increase the intensity of underwater scanning

On April 20, the 44th day of the loss of the Malaysian airliner, the “Nanhai rescue 101” wheel and the “Jinggangshan” ship, the “Kunlunshan” ship, the “Haikou” ship, and the “Thousand Island Lake” ship belonging to the Ministry of Transport continued west of Australia. Sea search, responsible for the search task of 20,760 square kilometers of sea area. The China Maritime Search and Rescue Center stated that it will make timely adjustments to the search focus according to changes in the search situation.

On April 18th, the Ministry of Transport convened the 30th meeting of the Leading Group of Malaysia Airlines’ Lost Airliner Emergency Response Team, requesting ships in front to conduct further water scans and at the same time increase the intensity of underwater scanning.

As of 12:00 on April 20, on-site ships have searched for 71,4343.5 square kilometers in the South Indian Ocean according to the search plan. The China Maritime Search and Rescue Center coordinated a total of 65 vessels in search of 178,847 square kilometers in the west of Indonesia and Australia. No items related to the loss of Malaysian Airlines were found.
