In recent years, graphene-based heavy-duty anti-corrosion coatings have been the key research in related industries, but they are still not large-scale due to the lack of perfect coating systems and standards, lack of comprehensive performance evaluation and practical engineering application evaluation, and high cost of graphene. Professor Zhu Aiping teamed up with the team of Professor Zhang Chaoqun of South China Agricultural University, Jiangsu Tweed Machine Tool Manufacturing Co., Ltd., Zhenjiang High-tech Research Institute of Yangzhou University and Jiangsu Weite Metal Anti-corrosion Technology Co., Ltd. to develop solvent-free graphene heavy-duty anti-corrosion coatings. The core technology uses the explosive method to prepare graphene microchips, using in-situ surface modification technology. The obtained surface-modified graphene microchip powder is not only low in production cost, but also easily dispersed in a coating resin system such as epoxy, polyurethane, and acrylate resin to prepare a graphene anticorrosive coating.
